| Advertising poster pickup.. Help!!

I know its not baseball but it was too good to pass up for $15 Any ideas on its value pm me. I am going to be sending it to a paper conservationist to restore it as much as possible and dont want to put more into it than I should. I usually only collect baseball and hope no one gets too mad at me for posting it here. |

Item was found shrink wrapped to a larger piece of cardboard for stability so I haven't checked the back. It is approx. 20x15. I only collect Goldsmith baseball items and stumbled onto this and thought it has great display value once cleaned and restored.

Very cool piece. Haven't seen it before. If I had to hazard a guess at the boxers I would say Tommy Gibbons on the left and Georges Carpentier on the right. I had a pair of Tommy & Mike Gibbons endorsed gloves awhile ago. I just have the photos now so I can't tell if they are Goldsmith gloves or not. Maybe you can tell from the markings. |

From the pics it does appear to be the old style Goldsmith Logo. I should be an iron cross inside the circle which it does look like. Thanks for the info on who the boxers might be.

don't mean to hijack the thread, but I just picked this box top up on Sunday and it reminded me on your piece. The images are similar in stance and while it isn't a boxing or baseball piece, it suggested sports (wrestling) and was cheap!
