Jeff is right. I think my article correctly characterizes the "Canadian" set (Type 5)-- the 8 Detroit players are part of it, along with 39 Montreal and Toronto guys. It's difficult to tell the difference from scans alone, but the matte paper stock on the Canadian Tigers is very different from the "Creamy" set, which is quite glossy. And as Jeff points out, there are cropping differences--
The Detroit players in the Canadian set are a good bit easier to find than the Montreal and Toronto players, in my experience. I'll check in again after I've seen the auctions- Tim |
