Ok well a dumb question
Do we know if the ballplayers that were in these sets were contracted way back then or did the manufacturers just use their likeness with little or no compensation??? I am curious to know because if Joe Jackson was illiterate like we all know him to be, could the reason he was not included in the t-206 set be that he wouldnt sign a contract because he couldnt read it?? I Know he was pretty young and green when these cards were printed and maybe he just didnt want to commit because he didnt know the terms of the contract. I know..it sounds so simple and far fetched but you just never know! I just thought I would throw this out there. |
