Depends upon your budget. I only collect Ruth and Gehrig now, and on a tight budget, but I've picked up over 50 pre-1950 Ruth items at affordable prices. If you want the most affordable, consider W (strip) cards and premiums. Strip cards are more crude, but they have a charm about them, and there are some with actual b/w photos.
Also consider original 1920's-30's news photos, magazine covers, newspaper premiums, etc. |
