According to Lew Lipset's Encyclopedia, Vol. 3, Joss is listed in Group 1 of Rarities, Group 1 being the most difficult to obtain. Then add to the fact that he, Bresnahan, and Wallace are the only Hall of Famers in that group; and that Joss died that year which leads to speculation that it was short printed and you have a high priced card in any condition.
Also in an article about T205s by Kevin Struss in VCBC Issue 1 from March 1995, Kevin listed Joss as the 4th toughest scarcity behind Hoblitzell No Stats, Dahlen, and Fisher. Best, Tim Kindler |
