I definitely felt it here in Old Tappan, New Jersey. You could feel the building moving and it really freaks out your equilibrium.
Since I have a son who lives in California, I couldn't wait to tell him that I had just experienced my first earthquake. His response: "Yes I know, my Facebook exploded with 20 people saying they felt it. A 5.9 300 miles away is for wimps. The one we had a couple years ago was 5.6 and right down the street."
