Lou Gehrig made his Major League Debut on June 15, 1923.
Here is The New York Evening Post Newspaper dated June 14, 1923. One day prior to Gehrig's Debut. This original 17"x 21" sports page has a large photo of Lou Gehrig stating that he "NOW WEARS A YANKEE UNIFORM" I bought the photo in Summer of 2010 without knowing when it was taken, and stumbled onto the Evening Post Sport's Page a few months later.
