The John Henry Williams' forgeries depicted in this lot are obvious, slow choppy fakes. Not sure they would fool anyone and they are not close to the Green Diamond signatures I have seen. The Green Diamonds tend to be sloppy, but they have flow and were signed quickly from what I have seen. I always attributed it to the fact that they were signed later in life. Comparing a Green Diamond to Richard's beautifully signed inscribed photo, which was signed by a younger healthier Williams, is not a like comparison.

I think we have to be careful not to unjustly taint Green Diamond items based on John Henry Williams' bragging. If they are fake, they should be outed and destroyed. However, it should be done on solid evidence, not because of suspicions based on the fact that John Henry was an unsavory character.
