Kiner model bat from 50's??

Has anyone ever seen a bat like this? It's a Kiner model, obviously not for game use since it feels as if it's made of balsa wood (35" long but 27 oz.) Actually, I'm told it's tiger maple, and it's absolutely gorgeous; the stripes really show much better in person. Has anyone ever heard of Diamond Star before? I think it's from the 50's.
