I can't come up with a good explanation either. When I started I assumed ott, waners, and Williams would be the tough ones.
To be fair, as far as I know the Ott and both Waners are 1/1 Can't come up with a good reason why Dickey, Ferrell and Averill aren't easier. I see their 40 and 41s signed all the time. 1939 not so much.
