Hi Ted--

Didn't you attend a memorable game in 8/4/85?

Saw Mike Schmidt hit 4 HRs in game at Wrigley Field. Phillies won 18-16 or something crazy.

Saw Bob Forsch pitch no hitter from bleachers at Busch Stadium in 1978 or thereabouts.

Roy Halladay's no hitter in October 2010 playoffs. Wife and I were seven rows behind home plate. It was awesome.

Default Most historic game you saw in person

A weak entry, as I haven't had the chance to go to many games, but mine would have to be Eddie Murray going for HR #500 in an away game at Seattle...

Alas, Eddie didn't get it that day, to my disappointment, despite my group of 6 friends lined up with "5 0 0 H R S" painted across our bare chests in a pathetic attempt to get on TV.

The surrounding crowd was completely unaware, and couldn't figure out why we were making such a scene every time he came to bat!

(OK, I have shared enough. I am going to go hide now.)

September 28, 2014 - Nats Park
Jordan Zimmermann throws his first no-hitter. First no-hitter in Nats history.

For me, it would be seeing the great Cy Young and his Cleveland Spiders in game four of a losing effort to the mighty Orioles of the gay '90s, in the 1896 Temple Cup.
......oh wait! You wanted a real experience and not something out of my wildest dreams. 😉

In the 6th row behind the visitor's on-deck circle at Busch Stadium, I cheered Mark Reynolds on to get three strike-outs that day, breaking and setting the MLB single season record for most Ks in a season. I might have been the only one in the stadium aware that this history was being made. Some of the shine of that day has worn off since the record has been broken (several times, I think) in the years following.

Greg set the then record for most consecutive innings without a walk. The next inning he was hit by a pitch.

Default Koufax No Hitter June 1964 Connie Mack Stadium

Hated every minute of it.My Phils were in the throes of the pennant race.Full house ,mid week evening game.Dying in my seat behind home plate as Koufax is mowing them down.It took me 50 years to realize that I had been watching an artist at work.

1984 World Series game 2. Watched a summer teammate of mine (Ft. Wayne) Doug Bair pitch in relief. Talked to him before the game.
Orel Hersheiser setting the record for consecutive scoreless innings.
2 all-star games in Milwaukee
Last game County Stadium, first game Miller Park
Babe Ruth's called shot and Don Larsen' perfect game. (Doesn't everyone claim they were there for those?)
