Rob, the Red Sox pennants appear to be real based on the photos and they are priced well.

Speaking of copying other pennant makers' artwork, check out my latest post on Pennant Factory, or just click here:
https://pennantfactory.weebly.com/bl...enthal-version I know you guys share my affinity for great (pennant) artwork, and the artists responsible for the felt masterpieces we've come to cherish. So I made some fresh designs that pay tribute to one particular illustrator you may not be familiar with: Karl Hubenthal.

Karl Hubenthal was an underrated genius. His work is right up there with Willard Mullin and Bill Gallo. Check out the LA Rams Yearbooks from 1958 - 61. I had to buy all four, just for his artwork on the cover.
He also did the Program Covers for both the Rams and Chargers in 1961. His artwork was always clever and beautifully executed. An under-appreciated master of the sports caricature. He did a ton of awesome artwork for the Dodgers as well. The 5th link below shows the artwork from which Kyle's pennant was derived. Great stuff, Kyle... it looks amazing! https://www.ebay.com/itm/30648292465...Bk9SR4iy8pLlZg https://www.ebay.com/itm/13301233484...3ABFBMhvW3k-Vm https://www.ebay.com/itm/11692736151...Bk9SR5iHyZPlZg https://www.ebay.com/itm/40401699815...Bk9SR-Ll0ZPlZg https://www.ebay.com/itm/25634916073...Bk9SR9C_2pPlZg

Kyle....
Darn, I posted all of that prior to reading your Pennant Factory post (which had some similar info). And I completely agree.... The 1965 "Out of This World Series" cover is an all-time Top 10. Loved the article... Great info! Edit: It had also slipped my mind that Hubenthal is the original designer of the Minnesota Vikings Helmet!

"Underrated genius" -- spot on!
I had the funnest time tracking down cover art by him from the 1960s. And, I had the hardest time deciding which covers to include in my piece. So many to choose from. The man's work was simply everywhere! Mark, it sounds like you may need to do a TSOG installment on Hubenthal cover art. What do you say?

I just posted about needing help (of course I got it!) regarding a sports cartoonist named Phil Bissell. There are a lot of similarities between Mullins’, Hubenthal’s and Bissell’s works.
