Edacra- Hello...

Please take no offense, my comment was not directed at anyone specific and yes, I would not want my credit card info compromized, HOWEVER, I would never put my dirty laundry out like this on the forum boards unless it was a last resort and a MAJOR issue and from what I am trying to acertain, I really do not see why this could not have been worked out amicably. This was not big money that you were implicating was taken from the credit card. For your info, I had an issue with someone that did access my credit card info and I dealt with it quickly and efficiently without having to make it public.

Actually, I do see why you are concerned, I just would have chosen a different path and when I see a fire spiral out of control, I try not to pour gas on the flame.

Highly doubtful he "pulled it from his butt" as you say. But it's also very easy to pull a different IP address from a log and say it belongs to another person isn't it? Most people don't think that another will check on it. That's why I asked arcade what state he is from and he also gave me the city. This was before I posted where the IP address is located. It's not that hard to get a person's IP address, even less difficult to say it belongs to someone else.

True Jay but I think we are way down from the most interesting days of Net 54 when there were all the posts of card alteration and dealer practices and what did and did not constitute alteration.

I(and others)just think most of the posts have been pretty dreary lately. Yet another one where people post pictures of their family or tell about their jobs-get the biggest response.

I don't know if its because most of the interesting people started the alternative board or not.

I don't want to sound like a conspiracy theorist or prolong the agony here but I'm going to play devils advocate here... lets say someone did log on to his site with the log on that belongs to Barak. It's possible that the password and log on could have been used by someone else... Bobby could be correct here. Does this mean I'm perpetuating the TRAIN WRECK thread of the week?

I'm sorry Barak, I don't mean to deal you a blow and Bobby, please don't use this as a way to get out of this... It's just my mind working overtime... If that is an '84 TCMA Pawtucket, they range from about $100 (PSA 7) to $500 (PSA 9).

VCP has many modern issues and PSA only prices the Clemens from this issue.

Okay, it's early Monday morning and this thread is too priceless to let it die.

Jeff, you are absolutely correct, while I was asleep I missed the thread to end all threads. This is the winner and new champ; the NYC dinner one is just a distant memory.

And I want to go on record to say that I went out of my way to hijack when I asked Dan for the Zombies. This was turning into more than a simple train wreck- this was four trains colliding with each other head on at high speed, and I was just trying to defuse it.

We got the point- Bobby and Barak have to resolve the money issue and move on, all the rest was window dressing.

No way this one beats the NYC dinner thread. It's a mere shadow of that breathtaking train wreck.

This one got a lot of it's momentum by lots of random O/T comments - people just spraying verbal buckshot about the place. Any thread can be "classic" if people just want to type random musings.

See, the NYC dinner thread managed to run itself off a cliff all while staying mostly on topic. People largely confined their posts to suggestions for where and when to have dinner, every eatery in NYC was named at least once, people were being accused of jamming personal preferences down others' throats - it was magnificent!

Just my opinion, but I don't think music, TV and food random posts really cut it for building a classic train-wreck thread (unless, of course, the topic is food as in the NYC).

My vote - no. NYC is still the winner and champion. For staying on topic, having incredible arguments, and still managing to not get anywhere (very important characteristic, that last one).

I wish you were correct, Joann; alas, this thread takes the cake. All of this anger: accusations of fraud, personal insults, threats of attorney involvement. There were multiple fires raging at once. Alliances were shifting by the second. And then we had the return of Jay (way overdue in my estimation - Jay - how could you possibly have controlled yourself from entering previous frays but come back on this one???) and the unlikely alliance between the armpit and the backbone, all the while Jim managed to insult and offend a whole new round of people after his all-too-brief lurking period (wherein here clearly did not review "How To Win Friends and Influence People"). And all of this occurred over $60.

There has been a lot of talk in this thread about how Mr. (deleted at request of the poster) privacy has been invaded. Foremost in this has been the release of his identity.

Posters to this board can not have an expectation of privacy. This is especially true where the post is controversial or personal. In fact it is a rule, quite often enforced, that such a post has to carry the name of the poster.

I don't know arcade or edacra. Can't recall any posts of interest, at least not of interest to me. So, to me, he is not well known enough to be exempt from posting his name to a controversial post.

That being said VCP had every legal right to name the individual who had posted.

I would agree with Steve here. I know there are a few members here who's names arent in thier handles...but they are everyday contributors and they are known to begin with. For someone to come aboard and bring all this up..be it true or not, their identity should have been revealed from the start. I don't know if Bobby will say so or not, but this couldn't have been good for business so why in the world wouldn't you at least bring the individual's name out?

And most the people who's names aren't in thier handles here at least have thier names on the collectors page with contact info, etc.
