I was looking through the Goodwin book today and loved the cover on it. I did notice that the Big 3 are all PA based cards. Wagner is Pittsburg, Plank is Philadelphia Amer., and Magie is Philadelphia National. Just thought it was interesting and wondered if it had a play on provenance with the cards? Also was there any other PA teams in the pros then or is it just ironic the Big 3 represent the 3 PA teams of the time?
BTW lots 47, 199 have the Howie McCormick stamp for who ever is collecting them Last edited by Pup6913; 04-04-2012 at 01:59 PM. |
