Latest Statue Addition - c1876 Hartford Blues Batter
  http://www.sportsantiques.com/pg3brimstory.htm I got this little statue today and am very pleased...These figures were used on gas lamps...you see them both ways....as stand alone figures like this...and mounted on a base that was part of a lamp...The last one I saw in person was at the 2011 Brimfield...I remember I asked the price...and what ever it was it was so much I didn't even write it down...see link above and scroll down to the bottm the page to see the shot I took of it...I already had the pitcher to the left of it so this completes the pair...the other is darn near minty with the original paint...Although I kind of like the wear on this batter better..
