A couple of years ago, I purchased a lot of cards. Included in the lot was a 1912 Cohen Weenen & Co., Fred Storbeck, Black Back card. The Storbeck card wasn't the primary interest for my buying the lot; I never studied the card. Yesterday while working with my collection, I took some time to read the card's reverse.
The information included reference to Storbeck's 1913 South Africa Heavyweight Championship fight. From my research, it took place in December of 1913. The cards are supposed to be a "1912" issue. Does anyone know any details/information about this. When were these cards actually released? The difference between Greenbacks & Blackbacks? I haven't been able to find much information. Thanks Here is a scan. One of three PSA population. One of two graded PSA 4. ![]()
