| Looking for info on a W.E. Mains bat

I may have asked this before, but I lost the email from the guy who contacted me. (Sorry) I was looking for something else, found this bat in the pile, and suddenly remembered I never did figure out the date. Trying to figure out the date on this W.E. Mains bat. I have not seen this particular logo before. I am 99% sure it says: W.E. Mains Sandy Creek Maine Barrel: No. 00 Thanks, Sean |

Length, weight, and maybe a pic of the whole bat. Even then I can't help but might help others help you. |

Oh, I will have to get that tonight; although I am not sure how much help that will be. It is a full sized bat, with no stamping other than these. |

| KeyMan has some information

http://keymancollectibles.com/bats/m...bridgtonme.htm you may have already seen this website but I remembered seeing this a while back when I went looking for some information on my WE Main's baseball bat that has a Bridgeton,ME, logo. It appears that you've got an older bat. If you're interested in selling it, don't hesitate to contact me. Bruce btjossem@Gmail.com |

I did see that, thank you. But as you pointed out, the logo is very different than theirs. So I am trying to figure out the time period. Perhaps this is one of his earliest bats? Or maybe even one from his playing days? I don't know? |

Here is the rest of the bat. Kind of nondescript, nothing on the knob. But any information would be great. Thanks for the help that everyone contributed already. |

| Mains Bats

I've returned many bats to the Mains family as they live nearby. I can let them know this is out there. Rawn

| Mains Bats

Sandy Creek was the shop in Bridgton, Maine, they also had shops in Harrison and Fryburg. I got the bats that I had to Jim Mains, The grandson and son of J. R. who pitched in one game in the Majors also.
