I am card guy but this came in a purchase. LMK if this autograph looks obviously bad or is worth a shot at authentication. Thanks.

I am certainly no expert. Like everyone else, I can check examples online and compare. I see 3 things that I think would warrant further investigation. In almost every example, Sam is in quotation marks Yours isn't. First and last name runs together. Yours doesn't. Third, the downward stroke of the R looks a little too funky. It has a backward slant. In all, this is a card I would set aside until I could devote more time examining it.
