Reading the title I thought you were going to talk about the insane instance where I can't buy a Topps Baseball pack of the current issue for the first time since I began buying packs to open in 1971.. I despise Flippers.. BOO HISS..

I stopped buying new cards with the advent of "chase" cards in the early 1990s.

I do open a few packs from the late 80s every spring, just because I can.
