Grading Question

Hi all,

Quick question - I'm considering purchasing a vintage card that is poor condition and has a corner missing.

Assuming there are no other alterations are issues, is it possible that card could get a numerical grade, which would be a 1, or does the missing corner mean that it can only get an "A"?
