I won't say never, since I learned long ago that there are people that will pay what you think is a stupid price for something you have, but here are the cards least likely to leave my collection |

The Cobb was a gift from my wife when we were both in grad school...still don't know where she got the money (as beat as it is) to pay for it as we both subsisted on canned tuna and potatoes for two years. The Young was purchased using silver dollars (I saved about twenty to give to my children someday) that were given to me every month by my grandfather. When he passed away I had a couple hundred of them that I had managed not to spend. |

If someone offered me life-changing money for a card or for my collection I would do it. Probably the last card I'd part with is my cousin Ray's E211 card. It is the only one I've ever seen, but if someone just had to have it and had enough zeros after the digit in their offer, I would sell it too. I know, I know, now that we've established what I am we are merely negotiating price. |

It's hard to say that any given card will never leave my collection simply because I may decide to upgrade, but of my entire collection, it is fairly safe to say this specific card will always be there: |

Harmon Killebrew was my favorite...I wrote to him when I was 6 and invited him over for dinner (my mom said it was okay), he replied and apologized that he couldn't but sent the postcard and autographed my card (lost the letter he sent during my yearly "show and tell" classes these pieces went to). The picture is a bit small but it says; "To - My Pal Sean, Good Luck - Harmon Killebrew" |
