Peter I just read your post and have no idea what you are talking about or what this post brings to the board. It just seems like you are rambling about something that popped into your head. Can you clarify what you mean in your post? Thanks CN |

Peter, First you're a newbie, now you're a "dinosaur"? First you ask about how to display your SGC cards next to your PSA cards, now you are a collector of raw cards? Since you are clearly trying to stir up whatever pops into your head without much regard as to how it might be something that this board cares about, let me direct you to just a number of the former posts asking this same question, often in a more coherent way: |

I'm pretty much with Peter U. on this...and there's a great deal to be said for being able to touch a card. |

Don't agree with the title - Raw cards are much more plentifull than graded cards, even (IMHO) higher grades. |

Have to agree about the pop reports. They must be way off by now. Really there is no way to correct them. I break out cards all the time just as many others on here. In a way i wish company grading never started because it is nice to hold a card in hand. However with all the reprints and altered cards, it is definately needed. |

Is it possible that Peter C has had at least a partial lobotomy? With each post I am move convinced than an EEG would demonstrate little to no brain activity. |

Not trying to bash Peter, I actually find his threads somewhat amusing AT TIMES. However, Peter, I am asking you to name at least one pre-war card that you currently own (and a scan would be great too). I guess I don't see the draw of this forum for you as it doesn't seeem like you actually buy (or collect) pre-war. Just my thoughts |

Not defending Peter C. here but not buying cards should not be a reason for someone not to come to the board. I haven't bought a single card since September when I picked up my last T-207 at a show. I won't be buying anymore cards until at least December 2008. My interest is high in this hobby, however it makes no sense for me to buy anything right now. This just keeps me in the game on any knowledge that pops up. |

I'm not stating he has to curently be buying anything, I just wonder if he actually collects pre-war baseball cards, which is what this forum is all about (at least that was my understanding). If he doesn't, then I am merely stating that I don't understand what he is doing here. He seems to be pretty passionate about something (still trying to figure out what) but it seems like there might be a forum (somewhere) more in line with what he actually collects. He is obviously an intellient person, as he has stated he is an attorney, just not really understanding his draw to our little neck of the woods. Ultimately, it doesn't matter to me whether he stays here or not, and I am by no means always bashing him as this is the first time I have ever responded to a single one of his threads. |

Shane, what exactly does it tell us about a collection if it is obtained through a card shop? |

I'd be curious about Shane's comment as well. Though I don't buy my vintage at card shops, every once in awhile I still like to dabble in some new stuff and will buy my cards from those shops. I know I can get them cheaper off ebay but I like to do my little bit to help out the actual brick and mortar place. |

This post is the one that bothers me a little. How does this involve this pre war family we try to maintain here. It is time you do grow up a little. This is an absolutely silly post. |
