A lot of fun is being had here but on a serious note, Andrew needs to really think about what he is doing here. I don't know what the law is where he is from but in New Jersey scamming someone out of $75,000.00 is a second degree crime that carries a presumptive state prison term. He does not look like someone who would survive incarceration.

The Mona Lisa thing is still killing me. That's priceless right there

Also, I see that our friendly scammer has taken his pics out of the system ..... but I still have them up on my computer screen from before he zapped them.

I am surprised that nobody stated the most obvious flaw in the scandal.

As you can see from the actual auction page, the card is so severely trimmed that there is a TON of space between the card and the edges of the black insert:
http://sports.ha.com/c/item.zx?saleN...79#58425842051

Here is the picture that Mr. Scammer had posted before he took it off the site. Followed by a simple blow up of him supposedly holding the card. Notice that all you see is black between the card and the edges of the SGC insert in both photos? If it were legit .... Mr. Scammer .... there would be light in the cracks around the card in the second picture.... or at least your white hand would be visible:

I quote blackadder: " when all else fails, a stubborn, pig-headed refusal to look facts in the face will always see you through".
Now I'm afraid of all t206 wagners and what bodily fluids might be on them

Serious question, since someone obviously tried harder than normal, let's rate it a 6/10 on the "attempt to scam" scale (posting, story, picture, etc) is it worth it to try and flush him out a bit more? This didn't work on us, but, it might work on someone else.

I honestly believe the FBI should look no further than this board when conducting an investigation into fraud. You guys are amazing!

I would agree bigtrain and I would add that while I am not in the habit of threatening anyone that I do not believe he looks to be the type to survive the beating he might get after scamming a grown man out of 75,000.

Default It almost looks like one of those forced POW photos...

Is anyone sure that's the guy, or just someone that he's kidnapped and is forcing to pretend to hold up a card and then watch some sort of horrible TV program???

Desiderata

You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Strive to be happy.
