I think the ball is in the catcher's mitt and from the look of the batter's front leg and head facing the 3rd base dugout, he missed the pitch by a mile, thus showing his posterior. (Nashville - Sulphur Dell Stadium - Circa 1915)

In my defense, I did a quick search on Google for baseball butts and that's where I found those images. Not sure, how the soccer image showed up in the search. I can't name one professional soccer player. |
