Hey Guys...
I may not get a chance to do to many more of these updates with the cobbs that are left which I still need. Big thanks to Brian W!.... thanks to Brian I was able to cross off the Cobb EPDG.. making the run up to 25 different Cobbs... to my knowledge this is the longest backrun for any single pose. Here is an updated pic with the EPDG. (and yes Chris.. I am getting a new scanner for christmas.. so the quality of this pic will be much better very soon ) Still actively looking for the T213 Type 3 Coupon Happy Holidays!

Hey Guys.... a quick update to this thread from 2 years ago.. it has been a long time since a new cobb was added.. but after last nights auction I was able to finally cross off the Type 3 Coupon Cobb. I had not seen another for sale in the last 2 years.
With the addition of this T213-3 that makes 27 different cobbs for the back run.

How many ty cobb backs can possibly even be out there?
I would think that one would cost a small fortune... Either way, that's an incredible collection and thanks for sharing! |

Pied Fact 42
Incredible collection of Cobbs!
You know my first Cobb was a Red Portrait Piedmont Fact 42. It wasn't until later that I learned it was quite rare. But, not being a type collector, and being young and in need of a little extra $ I sold it and replaced it with a regular Piedmont back and pocketed some difference in cash. I sometimes wonder if that was a good move or not, but I do still love the Cobb I still have that replaced the Fact 42 one. |

thanks guys it has been challenging to find to find some of these ones.. i have needed help from several board members... the american beauty for example hasnt been sold in something like 8 years in a major auction house. it took me 2 years to find the type 3... the blank back is a 1 of 2 i believe... the BL460 is a 1 of 1... the drum is a 1 of 3... and the red hindu is a 1 of 5. also the sov 460 cobb is exceptionally tough... i only know of 3 or 4 of those....
but it is fun to look at so many tough cards lined up next to each other....glad you guys enjoyed the run as much as i do.

Congrats Jamie.
I know you were interested in that T213-3. Interestingly it went for $500 more than the type 1. I personally think the type 3 is more scarce. Great red Cobby run. Quote:

awesome Jamie...the king of all runs...and I love runs...even T206 runs!!!!!

Hi Everyone...
It has been a while since I was able to secure a new back which was needed...and update this thread... I am happy to report I have successfully acquired the Cobb Back for the Cobb back run... one of the lucky 7... A big thank you to Joe Orlando and the PSA team for their help in facilitating the transaction!... This makes 29 out of 30 possible backs acquired... Only missing the T214 Victory.... It continues to be an unbelievable journey which started as a modest goal of 15-18 different Cobbs.. Now might have a chance to actually be completed one day... Check out the updated scan below.. High Resolution Scan of the Run (you might have to scroll right on your screen to see them all)
