One to add, the writing on the postcard is by Tinker's first wife, Ruby. I've never seen another example of this card. I have no idea about the show mentioned on the card.

Awesome postcard...never seen it before.

I'll add this one also - McComb's Dam Park - I'm guessing this is the park that became the future home of Yankee Stadium or the Park that still remains next to the demolished Yankee Stadium site.

I live in Toronto so I had to grab this! It's a 1907 postcard of the Toronto Maple Leafs Ball Club and that's hall of famer Joe Kelley seated in the middle (holding the child).

I don't usually venture into postcards but this one seemed really interesting. Carlisle Indians baseball game circa 1907. Jim Thorpe is on the field somewhere.

The first is a 1918 Real Photo Postcard featuring Grover Alexander in France as a sergeant with the 342nd Field Artillery during World War I. Big thanks to Dan "slidekellyslide" for this one!

Very cool Thorpe postcard, Derek. I am a Thorpe fan myself (I live 45 minutes from Jim Thorpe, Pa., and 90 minutes from Carlisle, Pa.) and have only seen copies of that postcard a handful of times. There was an unused copy of that postcard on eBay with an asking price of $2,500 or best offer for several months that just recently sold. I know in the past when I have looked up that postcard, there were only 2-3 of them graded on the combined PSA/SGC population chart.

That whole grouping with it was nice. I was watching it. I have quite a few of the pc's from that set showing Americans, but I focus on original photos of U.S. Olympians so I passed.

Hi guys! This is my first post on the forum so a little introduction is in order.

My name's Shane and have collected cards and stuff since I was very young. But alas when I became a teenager all my stuff was either lost or stolen. Well now I'm 34 and married now so I thought it was about time to start over again cause not much else gives me as much joy as collecting and talking to collectors. Anyways here is a postcard I just picked up,

Default Anson's Colts

Here is a follow up to Brad's post (back in April) of Cap Anson's Colts. This is a small postcard that I think has been trimmed. I picked it up because of the Anson connection (Cap is the portly fellow in the center, back row), but also because I think the player in the bottom row, right (name on his shirt) is Fred Wehrell who played for the Anderson Electricians (So. Carolina) in the 1909 Carolina Association. I have also included a scan of the 1909 Anderson team postcard.

Enjoy,
Mike

Craig
Cool PC of "home of the Polar Bear". One just wonders what inside was like? Were cards developed there?
