Great stuff Rhett, especially like the Babe Adams card!

Another with 13 players who were with the Pittsburgh Pirates during the regular season, but never played a game. There's also one about 27 baseball families, as well as a day-by-day look at the worst team in Pittsburgh Pirates history. I have Elmer Miller and my back has the same exact area of paper loss. Makes me wonder if all of these cards came from the same scrap book

Beautiful cards everyone! Don't know how I missed this thread. Sorry to raise it back from the dead but I love these backs! I have a few, but it looks like Rhett has me beat. All but one of mine have paper loss on the back as well. Always looking to add to my collection if anyone has any available ... can anyone help me get a 9th for a full page!?

Ken--I believe the vast majority of the Lou Gertenrich cards that have surfaced came from one seller on ebay about a dozen years ago that had dozens of them individually listed. Each card had paper loss on the back as has been seen in this thread, which makes one think they all came from a scrapbook. I ended up winning one for my collection...Hank Gowdy. Brian |
