Tony,
Great cabinet for display! I was looking for another dental cabinet but I will now be looking for something similar to yours! Have a great weekend!

1880nonsports - that was interesting to use a plastic shelf cabinet to save wall space or if have no wall space! should put mirror in so you can see the back of the cards without having to handle them.
Lgarza99 - dental cabinet? never would have thought of that idea in a million years. i knew there are clever people here on how they store their treasure! pgellis - simple black frame to display is my thought too. how do you hold the cards in the frame and what is the backing in the frame? the glass is UV reflective? Tonyo - vintage does sound fitting way to hold and display these vintage cards. i will have to look around and see if there are any antique stores or flea markets to find something clever what you and the others. When I do find what i am thinking of and have it on display, i will be sure to add my pics of how i display my tobacco cards. Thanks Tim |

Tim,
My frame is a Pennzoni display case, you can check them out on their webpage. The back is wood. There is a "groove" on each row to hold the cards in place. It isn't glass, but rather 100% UV protection acrylic. |

The Pennzoni displays are great. I love my 30 card display. I may have to get another soon. My new goal is to fill one with 30 T206 portraits and another 30 card display with T206 action shots. http://www.pennzonidisplay.com/carddisplaycases.aspx

Duct-tape it to my body in an overlapping chainmail pattern.

I like that idea it keeps them out of the direct light. You should try these top loaders for your tobacco cards

I have a bunch of those tobacco sized top loaders, Just like they way the cards look free and closely spaced.

Bill Brown,
I love how you have displayed your T206 collection by sub-collections! HoFers, Southern Leaguers, even the Horizontals!! Loved it. I did that with my HoFers, but a case of my SLs would be pretty sparce so far (7 of 48). |
