They're usually ok if they crash. The angle is so shallow it's not a hard hit at all.
What looks scary to me is that they're nearly into the uphill bit right after the landing area. That would hurt for sure. it looks like he's ending the jump before he gets past the slope. The guy the day after went a meter + farther and had a much harder landing. Steve B |

Yeah, that's pretty impressive, but can he hit a curve?
