Nice Clymer Sean (and nice pickups everyone else).

That card is interesting to me because it shows that there were two shades of blue applied to darken it up. I always assumed that the dark blue cards were 1 blue layer and 1 gray layer. Yet further evidence that the six-color litho process really had more layers - off the top of my head I know gray, as seen in some ghosts, rose as I have seen in color shifts and missing red cards, and now apparently a second layer of blue on some (unless this card was just run through on the blue run twice by mistake).

Default CJ Wagner

I just got this one in the mail today. I've been wanting to add a nice CJ for a while now.

Thanks Daryl. Much appreciated. I'm really pleased about completing this set but I doubt that there would be enough interest to start a thread about it. Here are a few of the others. They present well, but have minor back damage.

Bryan, here's an Oldring card where you can see the two layers of blue. The light blue was applied first, then the dark blue. In this case the dark blue shifted slightly to the right.

This question was of interest to me because I always wondered how the light blue Plank came about. This was how it was explained to me. They simply missed the dark blue pass, then scrapped the card.

Default Wanted!

Keep an eye open for Doc Williams, who is wanted for arrest in Hollister for forging checks. He is of the hobo type, prefers his whiskey straight, smokes a pipe, and enjoys saloons and basket making. His right arm is slight crooked and stiff at the elbow as a result of a pitching injury while a ball player in the east and in California, he claims. $20 reward.

Thanks for posting. Even without the baseball reference that is one great and humorous piece of Americana.

Great card! However, I always thought he resembled the blue guy from the lollipop guild...
