Thanks for the comments, everyone! I think it was a very fair and equal trade for both of us. I definitely gave up a lot of tough Ruth cards that now I have to go out and find again and hope the prices will still be reasonable. However, the Brunners has always been on my want list, and I probably could not have picked up a nice copy without a trade like this.

I think it would be better if the pickup thread was reserved for collecting. It just feels wrong to post cards that you don't like enough to keep right after someone posts a card they are really excited to get. I never post cards that I am planning to sell, and I think pretty much everyone else does the same. It seems like it is already an unwritten rule.

Sideways Upgrade
 ...This one may be a tough sell to The WidowGarcia....from a " barely 'Fair' " to a solid "Fair".....in my opinion , by replacing a card with wrinkles on the face and horrid corners with one which has oh okay a few faint stains but now the wrinkle is 'way over on the neck and the corners are really decent ( for a fair card )......right about here is where I started babbling " homina homina homina ". ... 1936 R314 Goudey Wide Pen Premiums Luke Appling Type 2 . ..
