Well.......I didn't see the '68 Topps game card of Mantle. Not that I'm looking or being picky Bob. Otherwise, I suppose you have a fairly nice collection of Mantle, All Day - All the Time!

an theres that dreaded 63 plaque/mask....Did you see that Ebay item that looked like the plaque/mask? It looked funny as if a repro piece or pieces, another board guy asked me to look at it, and it did not look authentic or whatever reasons. Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-MICK...p2047675.l2557
Amazing Micks there BF.

I do, sort of. I have the basic Mantle one--the master one is too intimidating, and it annoys me to have to get multiple versions of panels/coins/etc. that aren't really different.

I already have a lot of the cards/stuff included in the set, but a huge majority of them are not graded. Stuff I have but still need to scan:

1951 Wheaties
1955 Armour Coins (correct and incorrect spelling)
1960 Topps Tattoos (portrait and autographed ball)
1961 Nu-Card Scoops (both)
1961 Post Cereal
1961 Topps Stamps
1962 Jell-O
1962 Post Canadian
1962 Post Cereal
1962 Salada-Junket Coins
1962 Shirriff Coins
1962 Topps Bucks
1962 Topps Stamps
1963 Jell-O
1963 Post Cereal
1963 Salada-Junket Coins
1963 Topps Peel-Offs
1964 Bazooka Stamps
1964 Topps Coins (all three)
1964 Topps Giants
1964 Topps Stand Ups
1965 Challenge the Champs
1965 Old London Coins
1965 Topps Embossed
1965 Topps Transfers
1966 OPC
1966 Topps Rub-Offs
1967 Dexter Press
1967 Laughlin Yanks vs. Cards WS 1964
1967 Topps Pin-Ups
1967 Topps Who Am I?
1968 American Oil (left and right)
1968 Topps Plaks Checklist
1968 Topps Plaks
1969 Topps Mantle White Letter
1969 Topps Stamps
1969 Transogram (and side panel)

Forgot to add this scan to the thread (oops):

Tony, I love that Red Man card that Bob made!!! How cool would it have been if the Mick had been in all four RM sets? Yeah, that's how cool.

Probably a lot of these around, but I have a couple of postcards from the "Holiday Inn of Joplin, Missouri operated by Mickey Mantle.' Mick is pictured in the Dugout Lounge at the Inn.

Wholeheartedly agree!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bob did a beautiful job on that Red Man Mantle. I carefully placed mine in a mylar SNUG, made by Bill Cole Enterprises, then in a thick Capital Plastics four-screw holder. I would proudly display it with original period Mantles because it's a beautiful work of art.

In the same theme, Bob Lemke did a swell job on his creation of a complete 1963 JELL-O Black Raspberry box with the free prize card being Mickey Mantle. However, Bob did not do a reprint as such. Using the gorgeous advertising poster photo of Mick that JELL-O displayed in supermarkets and grocery stores at the gelatin aisle, Bob cropped the best part of the photo and gave his JELL-O box this variant photo of Mickey. Looks spectacular.

Fantasy Mickey Mantle cards, if they're done well, find a very appreciative fan in me. ---Brian Powell

I wondered when the Dice Game Mantle would make an appearance. Thought you were holding out, Bob.

And major CONGRATS, Leon! Nice eye appeal on that one.

Not a Dice Game, but a "slightly" less valuable/rare Topps game card:

Chris, why doesn't the 68 game card have rounded corners? Is yours a proof?

I've seen them referred to as proofs--and I think one of the major grading companies slabs them proofs--but my thought has always been that someone just cut down a previously uncut sheet to make this.

As you should, MikeGarcia. The 1960 Post Cereal Mickey Mantle is a choice, elegant, and breathtaking Mickey Mantle masterpiece. Obviously, it's one of my own favorites, as I placed it dead center on the cover of my newly-released book, NEVER CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN.

Congrats on having that Mantle--what a prime conversation piece! ---Brian Powell

Default matchbook

Does anyone know of a Mantle Matchbook variation that is green? I have only seen the common one's and this yellow variation, but I heard there is a green one as well.

Default I don't think I've posted this in years

Got this back in the 1980s. I was invited to a private reception on the eve of the public opening of Mickey Mantle's Sports Restaurant and Bar, in Manhattan (I knew the RE agent who helped broker the space, so I tagged along}. Measures approx 4x6".

This is an old pickup you might say. Growing up in northern nj, my neighbor across the street was harold rosenthal...a sportswriter for the herald tribune. He wrote many books on football and a few on baseball. He sent mickey mantle a letter asking him some questions in 1951. This is a copy of it...he donated the original to the hall of fame...I wonder if they ever display it?

Just bought this guy for my '69 MC set. I'm working on a set that has at least a sliver of another card visible on it.
