Nice pickups Larry. I think that most people would rate the 1952 Bowman Large as the most attractive set of Football cards ever made.

John and Scott thanks for the encouragement the '52 Bowman Large and Small sets are beautiful and challenging to complete. But I am up to the task LOL!

Picked up a couple of Philadelphia Unitas cards ('64 & '65) and a 1955 Topps Benny Friedman. If you get the chance, read the book Passing Game by Murray Greenberg. It seems a shame but it appears that Friedman's abrasive personality kept him out of the HoF until well after his retirement and death. He was so good during his prime that Tim Mara purchased the Detroit Wolverines franchise just so he could obtain the rights to Friedman and put him on the Giants roster.

Great Friedman, Scott! He was the first great passer in the NFL. His 20 TD passes in 1929 are amazing given the era and shape of the ball back then. His season TD record wouldn't be broken until 1942. For perspective, Billy Kilmer and Joe Namath led the league in TD passes in 1972 with 19.

Great pickup.
