Default Goudey Lajoie

Love that Lajoie! I assume you were referring to the 1933 set (and not 1934, which some people attribute it to). Either way -- amazing card, with great clarity!!!

Was happy to pick up SC 350/25 versions of these. These were harder to find than I expected compared to the 350/30s.

Got these '35 Wheaties cutouts encapsulated at the Strongsville show earlier today.
Glad I did, as they really look cool in person! ...almost worth the 9 hour wait, SGC

Thanks Eddie, very happy with it. My lone win from the Brockelman Auction.

1933. I do have some 1934 and I kind of like the 1934s a bit better, but my dad chose 1933 so 1933 it is.

I know it's not baseball, but putting this set together is paramount in my collecting focus. I was able to double the number of cards I had with one mail day. I don't really have anyone to share with, so y'all are the victims.

The cards are from the T36 (1911 ATC Auto Drivers). My blog post.

Default Wide Pens 1937 R314 Gehringer-- Type 4 vs. Type 5

... here's a side-by-side way to distinguish between the American Type 4 (on the right) versus the Canadian Type 5 : the ''creamy" Type 4 has a more pronounced darker overall tone while the Type 5 appears lighter-toned and almost 'washed out' in appearance ; also the top of the capital "D" visible on their uniforms is thinner on the Type 5 and the font size for the "Charles" is more delicate, especially the first two letters.....
...me and possibly as many as two other guys actually care about stuff like this...
