Help with autographed baseballs? Especially if you're from Wisconsin
Fellow collectors - as I am sure some of you also do, I post on Craigslist offering to buy sports card collections. 90% of what I am offered is worthless and/or overpriced, about 9% is 50s-70s cards that I'm comfortable working with and every once in a while I get offered things like this. I have no idea what these balls might be from, or whether they're worth anything. He has others (you can see them on the floor there). I did find that Truax Field is a military base in Wisconsin, which fits in with the other team being from Madison, and the Wisconsin State League referenced on the other ball existed between 1940-1953 except during WWII. Is there someone reputable and knowledgeable who could give this person some information about these and would possibly buy them?
Thanks Ted

Thanks for the information. Is there anyone who might be interested in buying these?

If they were Minnesota I would be interested. Unfortunately I don’t really have any interest in the Wisconsin leagues. They’re cool though.

I grew up in Madison and knew the name Truax Field as soon as I read it.
I think their value would be as WWII game-used items, with Wisconsinites being interested. I'm not an interested buyer though. Last edited by drcy; 03-31-2019 at 09:19 AM. |
