Those S74's with the Red Sun back are as scarce as hen's teeth. I understand there is also a colored version, but I have never seen one.

Looking at the silks, I noticed that my actress silk, which I purchased as a S72-3A, has the exact same back as the 2 baseball silks, which I thought are S74's.
Any idea's on this? They say Baseball-Actress Series on Satin. Thanks

Just got out my American Card Catalog.
Burdick gave them separate designations but noted under the S74s that they were issued with S72-3. Looking through the catalog, I suspect he did this because he seemed to have a thing for keeping different types of subjects separate when he could justify it. On this one I have to disagree given the text you point out on the back - it seems like these should have one designation, not two.
