Just finished reading about this, it's not often early cards are kept for this long. Most of the time they had been trashed or forgotten. Many parents back in the 70s and 80s never asked and just cleaned up areas for space, great to hear this family at least kept them safe. Looks like some nice avg cards that collectors can afford.

A lot of these cards are eventually going to get cracked out and trimmed, and then resubmitted for grading. A lot of money is going to be made from this find.

There’s a house in town that my mother in law cleans.
It’s for an elderly lady that lives in the house that she grew up in. The lady living in it, She’s in her late 70’s. The ladies parents grew up in the same house. 3 generations of hoarders.... they won’t go through anything. I’m telling you there’s a Wagner at that house... I’ve said it for years. There’s an attic and a basement full of boxes that haven’t been touched for 100 years or longer I know, cool story lol It drives me nuts. Great find here... congrats those people ! |

I'm most excited that most of the cards were well loved and not PSA 9's and 10's. This guy loved playing around with his favorite players.

That’s a good idea and I wish it was only that easy...
They won’t let anything be thrown away... have EXTREME wealth and live in a 100 plus year old house buckets collecting water from the leaky roof. Original refrigerator still in operation etc. it’s cool, but also pretty weird. I would be shocked if there aren’t cards in that house. |
