Was it his own Topps Now card? That's the real question.

Default 3rd card

There is a 3rd card behind the 2 1959's.

Not surprising it's Mantle and Berra. He Grew Up in Brooklyn. His family owned a pharmacy here too.

Side note I'm not actually sure what determined if you were a Yankee/Dodger/Giant Fan back then. Location? Favorite Player? I know/knew plenty of old timers from Brooklyn that are Yankee Fans.

If you wanted to cheer for winners and perennial World Series champions... you supported the Yankees. Not concerned about winning? You're probably a Dodger fan

My father grew up just a short walk from Ebbets Field and only set foot in it to watch his Yankees play there in the ‘41 and ‘47 Series. I would ask him why he didn’t go regularly and he’d always answer with “Why would I? The Yankees were my team, not the Dodgers.”

Is his own card really ~$50 or more?? I wanted to pick one up for my daughter in law (huge science fan, advisor to me on cards to buy, not big baseball fan!)

Anyone know if affordable, novelty cards are out there?

Thx, Jeff
