Got this E106 Speaker many a moon ago as a placeholder for the tough E90-1 Speaker card that shares the same front. Still doing a really good job holding that place.

Apollo 11 astronaut Michael Collins passed away, so in honor of a man who boldly went where no man has gone before:
and for good measure, a Skywalker RIP hero.

I am skipping ahead on the Portland to do this Steen. This is not certified, and of course, I want it to be genuine, but I don’t want to send it in. What do you guys think, is this autographed by Steen? I included a know signature for comparison, there are others on eBay. If so, it is the only autographed D310 I have seen.

Clark Griffith chose "The Boy Wonder" at age 27 to be player-manager of the Senators in 1924, and he immediately led the team to their only World Series Championship during Griffith's reign as team owner and GM. Stanley "Bucky" Harris also led the 1947 NY Yankees to a WS Championship.

This T207 Broadleaf card is of Boston player Sweeney. Based upon its condition, however, perhaps it is more appropriately a victim of Sweeney Todd.

1923-24 Billiken Hank Schreiber
Henry "Hank" W. Schreiber played in the major leagues over parts of five different seasons for five different teams. He had 18 hits in 96 career plate appearances.
Schreiber accumulated some strange records such as being the only player to play for five major league teams in five non-consecutive years, never playing on more than one team per season, and never at any point appearing in the majors in two consecutive seasons. Another record was that he played for the most major league teams without ever accumulating enough career at-bats to officially qualify as a rookie (since tied). Schreiber's most important MLB performance came in 1919 as he filled in for an injured Heinie Groh for the month of September on the Cincinnati Reds. The Reds won the World Series in 1919, bur Schreiber did not appear in any of the World Series games. https://www.net54baseball.com/attach...1&d=1620066328 |
