Upset I have to miss this one as well, even though I'm so close. Best of luck today, Howard. Hope to see you in person, again at the Philly Show.

Be interested in any reports. Seems like a lot of things in the NYC area have slowed down a fair amount in the last 2-3 weeks. Very cold and every other person you know seemingly has a really bad cold and/or the Omnicron variant. Lots of people seem to be lying low right now waiting for the latest wave to blow over.

I heard it was extremely crowded with people who where spending like the money was burning a hole in their pockets.

I went yesterday. A few high-level thoughts. The Westchester County Center is far better for a show given its high ceiling and all tables being in one giant space. This show was fairly packed and tables were in a number of rooms. Aisles often left little room for movement. Some people upon entering the first room were unaware (myself and others based on a overheard conversation) there was a large main area and some tables in hallways. And though masks were said to be mandatory a few collectors and at least one dealer on the main room didn’t bother to wear one. I think upon paying to enter, attendees should have been told there was more than one room. While I am confident the vast majority figured that out, I suspect some left after seeing just the first room.

I found that most graded cards were priced at or above what you’d see on eBay. I appreciate though that sellers have to cover the table fee/transportation etc. and make a profit. So for that reason I found the best deals could be had by rummaging through $3 card boxes of ungraded vintage cards and their ilk though I bought some vintage mid-grade cards at a fair price.

I went today. As mentioned above, the Westchester County Center is definitely a better venue for a show. The rooms here were very crowded which made discussion and browsing less pleasant.

I had a few observations:
- Many of the dealers I've seen at the Westchester show for years were not there.
- There was a decent amount of vintage and some high-end modern. The high-end modern was largely football and basketball. Very little baseball
- I noticed that JSA had no lines and basically no one around. I asked them about the show and they said the day before (with Yankee signers) was insane, so overall was solid) even if today was very slow
- There was a breaker doing breaks for kids. Not sure if you had to buy in or if it was free, but he had a very large audience
- Not a ton in the way of memorabilia of any kind. A couple of guys had signed baseballs, and a couple of programs etc. but very weak from that perspective.
- PSA was not there. I had hoped to submit tickets for grading but hadn't looked at the ad close enough I guess.
- Far fewer auction houses seemed to be there than usual

I ended up only buying supplies and was in and out in probably 30 minutes or so.

Always fun to get out to a show, but definitely a letdown compared to the standard WP show.
