Perfect songs . . . ever time . . .

I�m willing to dig deeper for Rundgren.
I�d be surprised if the same artist who crafted �hello it�s me� didn�t have a few others that I would enjoy.

But the song �we gotta get you a woman� sounds like something my junior high school buddies said to my pimply faced self when I tried showing them my 1975 Topps collection.

Now Al Stewart, cmon �Time Passages� ? No thank you.

Well, just check Rundgren out a bit more, you may be surprised. And personally don't know this for certain, but understand on his early solo albums at least, they were true solo albums. Supposedly he produced the albums himself, played all the instruments, and sang every single part. If you listen to many of his songs, you can hear how complex they are. And if he truly did them entirely himself, you can only wonder how many different tracks he must have recorded and put down for some of them.

Did I mix the two up?

I take back what I said, or at least alter it. Did a little checking and he didn't play and sing everything on every one of his solo songs. On the album Runt he did have some bass and drum help. On other records/songs he'd occasionally bring in a lead guitarist, but still the bulk of the playing and singing was just him apparently..

It's a figure of speech not meant literally. In other words, sure Rundgren may have been versatile, but the unquestionable master in that category is Winwood.
