I don't usually collect photos, but along with the Matty horizontal, the Cobb leaning on bat is my favorite E / D card pose. I am not aware of another example of this photo. (If anyone is, please let me know!)

The letter of provenance is pretty neat -- it comes from a direct relative of Dr. Stewart D. Brown Sr. and Jr. -- and says that Cobb gifted the photo to Dr. Brown Jr.

My pickups from the Philly show. Went specifically for the first 2 items. Had seen them at the previous show, but didn’t purchase then, so glad they were there yesterday…







Was about to leave, then saw this item on the last go-round and had to have it.

Boy have these gotten tough. Very few coming to auction lately, bought this in a private sale to complete my long unfinished C55 set! Very excited.

I'm not a hockey collector but I sure can understand the joy of finishing a vintage card set over a long stretch, no matter if it involves bats or sticks...congrats!
