I have several every year that take tours. Not long ago I send a package to California from South Dakota and for some reason it went through Hawaii. I have actually had that trip happen more than once.

I once had a letter that took nearly a year to get to me (California to Canada). It showed up with a Filopino postmark. The sender was an older former athlete that has never been to that part of the world.

Default just happened

Won a Net54 auction.... cards arrived in a few days in Jacksonville, Florida (where I am) from Boston.... then after 5 more days of saying "delivery delayed" .... tracking shows it was now in Puerto Rico!! Had a happy ending when a few days later it made it back to Jacksonville and now delivered to me safely. Go figure....

And yet the one I sent to PR earlier this month bounced between the regional center and the airport center four times in a week before finally getting on a flight.

One more USPS pin ball job. A few years back a package containing this nifty postcard was sent from Seattle to Victoria BC, 75 miles as the crow flies, with stops along the way in New York, Atlanta and freakin' Qatar. Took 87 days. Sent by Registered Mail no less. Go figure.

This will turn into a Twilight Zone episode if Peter receives Eric's package and vice versa...

What's mind boggling is that they've tracked it so well and the appearance is that the packages are not lost, just in some kind of limbo and (hopefully) soon to be delivered.

Looking forward to hearing a positive outcome for both of you, but would rather read about the Twilight Zone finish to this.
