Can you post a picture of it, with a view of the entire autograph?
The top of it is cut off. Also, what year is the schedule for? Steve

the top of it is cut off because it might be folded at that spot. but the whole thing is behind scotch tape, taped into a baseball almanac. so I can't really remove it from it's spot. not sure of when the schedule was, but I know these autographs were all obtained roughly in the 70s to mid 80s. I know none of that helps, but just hoping someone recognizes that particular autograph bc I really can't make it out!

Looks like Jim Wohlford's autograph to me, with allowances for oddities due to the small space.

An extremely messy Jim Davenport.

Can you tell us who all of the other autographees (is that a word?) on it are?
Rightly or wrongly, the base assumption is that this was signed by team members during Frank Robinson's tenure as Giants manager from 1981 to 1984. If the other signatures fall in line with that timeline, then there are only a few Jims (watch, it's going to turn out NOT to be someone named Jim) it could be: Jim Wohlford Jim Barr Jim Lefebvre Jim Davenport The first letter of the last name could possibly be a 'W' or a flamboyant 'D,' so it's a tough call without having multiple examples of the players' autographs to compare it to. Both Wohlford and Davenport also have a single descender ('f' and 'p' respectively) in almost the same part of their last names, so that makes it even trickier. Edited to add: The Willie McCovey signature may sink my theory, as he was no longer part of the team, but his is in a different ink, so there's a good chance it came later.

Regarding the provenance of this thing, it's really all over the place. My dad ran into Joe dimaggio in the 80s in an elevator (at least, i think). He got McCovey at some jazz club some years later. Ollie O'Mara was the last one sometime in the late 80s, I think. so it's hard to say that the signatures were gathered logically or coherently because it was just a thing my dad kept in his pocket for these random moments. I'm liking the Jim Davenport idea...very much appreciate the sleuthing so far!
