Default Ever seen these before?

Bought these in a lot of sports photos. I’ve never seen these before. They are blank backed. Does anyone have any information on them?

I am no expert or anything but my first thought was 1980's fantasy pieces?
Hope they are real and you made a good hit though. Good Luck.

Yeah, I pretty much thought the same. Looks like a more modern font.

Nothing nefarious I don't think. Lots of historians/researchers/collectors made their own sort of collectibles through the years, since there weren't a lot of new issues coming out in the sport, on a regular basis.

Cards measure 4.5 x 2 3/4. They are blank backed and more modern than vintage. They were definitely commercially printed and not made at home for individual use.

I'm not sure if this helps, but the Jack Johnson image is from the same photo as Jack Johnson's Susini card.

This may or may not be a lead.

Gregory Adkin of the America Transformation Project owns an original photo of that exact Jack Johnson pose.

The website produces/sales historical jigsaw puzzle. Perhaps they once produced a set of boxing photos.
