Default The advantage of a Polaroid camera in 70's

Going up to the Hall of Fame inductions in the 70's and early 80's my friend met Many of the Players and Wives. In 1972 He bought his Polaroid. I can picture him shaking them so the were dry enough to sign.

Pictured are Waite Hoyt, Harry Hooper, Stan Coveleski, Sam Rice, Bill Terry. Luke Appling and Buck Leonard, Rube Marquard, Ted Lyons, Jessie Haines.

Amazing how well the images survived

Of note with Ted Lyons is Ken Smith. Ken was a long time sports writer for the Daily Mirror covering the Giants. In 1963 He Became Director of the HOF Museum.
Hope someone enjoys these

Even though they're HOFers, you don't often see many latter-day images of a few of these guys, especially unique ones.

The look on Sam Rice's face reminds of what absolute agony he went through before finding his fame. His story isn't all that widely known or discussed, and apparently, he wasn't much of a talker even to those close to him.
