Default E96 Baker with additional E79 Back Showing

Last week I purchased this E96 Frank Baker with part of another back showing via BST from Brian McQueen. I did not notice until examining the card in hand that the additional back was shown was not an E96.

After a bit of research I found that the other back showing matches the E79 Scrappers set by Philadelphia Caramel. I am not very familiar with that set, but after looking it seems like most cards in that set have black backs, not red.

Are there other known E96 miscuts similar to this? Maybe this could provide insight into the printing process for some of the Philadelphia Caramel sets.

E79 is a set of 21 boxing cards, in black or red backs (red probably subsequent to black).

E80 is a set of 11 additional boxing cards released as a follow up series 2 to E79, all with red backs.

E79 red backs are very tough, they are not seen often. They are many, many, many times scarcer than E96 cards. I've seen a couple miscuts like this that tell us the two sets were printed together on the same sheet, though I suspect there were multiple sheet layouts and other sheets did not have both sets on it (as the gap in rarity is so vast that it makes no sense for it to have been like this for the entirety of production).

E79 was advertised along with E95. The Ty Cobb poster cut card you see sometimes was paired with a James J. Jeffries pose from E79.

And, here's an E95 with an E79 black back showing. E79 black backs are not tough, but E95 is easier. Not my card.

Good eye and a nice catch either way, Hunter!
