It's the same gimmick as the MLB Debut patch. I'm sure it's not the last. Get color combos that match holidays, like July 4th. Sky is the limit.

I personally think it's cool. Most game used cards feature a blank piece of fabric and more often than not it is not actually game used but are noted as either being player worn or even more vague than that.

I kind of prefer the relic cards from the early 2000's, was a big fan of the Legendary Cuts release. I guess relic cards though are okay still, would prefer an auto though. I do prefer when relics are something other than a plain piece of fabric, like something that includes part of a name, number or team logo.
