Hi Jason -

Those are cool, what's on the back of the Ruth? And what are the dimensions?

If blank, then it looks to be what I call a Type 3 m114 Ruth, which I believe was released in Sept 1929.

My studies of the Baseball Magazine posters (m114) lead me to believe there are 8 different pictures used for Ruth m114s with that one being the third, which has two versions, the other was released in Nov 1921.

Also, I'm very curious what others you have, as it looks from the pictures you have a bunch of others, including the 1930 Athletics Team. I am always looking for more for my collection, and to help in my ongoing study of their release dates.

Here are mine. I think my 1921 Ruth version is probably trimmed.

Doug

PS - the Cobb m113 is a type 2, one of two versions, which I date to an initial release of Dec 1913. While you note yours being in rough shape, I'm sure you can imagine that's very common for the issue due to its size. I would say the Cobb is worth $100 on a good day, while the Ruth will be worth more due to it being Ruth and his type 3 m114 being seen less frequently than Cobb's type 2 m113.
