Interesting facts about players from deadball era

According to photographer Charles Conlon, Dizzy Dean refused to let anyone photograph him off field while he was holding a baseball in his pitching hand (might reveal secrets). Rube Marquard refused to be photographed while warming up. After Conlon photographed him this way, Marquard confiscated the film from his camera.
